About WaggleFinder

What we do

Finding a good vet, groomer or pet sitter usually means piecing together search results, maps and word of mouth. WaggleFinder puts the pet services in your area in one place, sorted by state and city, with each business's address, phone number, website, opening hours and reviews from other pet owners.

It's free for pet owners, and there's nothing to book or pay through us: when you find a business you like, you contact it directly. Search from the home page by city or ZIP code, or browse by kind of service.

Where our listings come from

• The directory started from public business records of pet services across the United States.
• Pet owners and businesses add listings, and our moderators check each one before it appears.
• Businesses can claim their listing, once we've checked they work there, to keep it up to date.
• Opening hours come from the businesses themselves and from OpenStreetMap.
• Listings marked Verified have been checked with the business directly.

Businesses move, change their hours and close, so please call ahead before you visit. If something is wrong, use Report an error on the listing and we'll put it right.

Guides for pet owners

Alongside the directory, we keep practical guides for life with a pet:

• Dog breeds: size, life span, temperament, and how each breed gets on with children and other dogs.
• Hotel and airline pet policies, linking to each company's own rules.
• Pet insurance companies in the US, to compare.
• The blog, with tips and advice for pet owners.
